A Plethora of Color

Hello Everyone,
The Irondequoit Quilt Club has once again out done themselves with another terrific quilt show entitled: A Walk in the Quilter's Garden. Each quilt category has garden themed names like Pansy Place, Tulip Terrace, Sunflower Avenue and Hydrangea Street to name just a few. There are easily over 150 quilts on display. Here is a little glimpse:

Love the use of thirties prints in this quilt.
30's Subway Tile
Many quilt shops around the US were busy earlier this year with a "Quilter's Football" program. This quilt is one of the many projects that were offered.
Pre-Game Butterflies
Stash and scraps is where this award winning quilt came from. It is king size! You too can create a great looking quilt using only fabrics and scraps from your stash.
Bear Paws
The quilter that pieced this beauty was trying her hand at a new applique technique (in the border) that she had recently learned. What an outstanding job she did!
Country Haven

The simple quilting design here is just right!
Four Star Squared

Woof, Woof. These dogs are all in the dog-house!
Lucien's Quilt
The greens and purples in this quilt are luscious!
Purple Snowball
You can almost hear the waves crashing and taste the ocean-side candy.
Salt-Water Taffy
Brrrrrr it's getting chilly outside.... We may need this fun loving quilt to cuddle up with!
Snowmen Row
If you are in the area be sure to check out the show. The hours on Saturday, October 23rd are 10am - 4pm at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. (3736 St.Paul Blvd. - Corner of St. Paul and Cooper Roads in Irondequoit.)

Until next time…
Happy Quilting, Kathy
